A forum
to co-create a coherent
and shared soil strategy
for Switzerland
The Swiss Soil Day 2026 – From Soil to Plate – creates a structured framework for reflection and dialogue to support the development of a coherent and shared soil strategy for Switzerland.
The objectives of this day are to:
- Strengthen awareness of the strategic role of soil,
- Identify concrete and operational solutions,
- Unite key stakeholders and strengthen synergies between science, the field, and value chains.
Swiss Soil Day does not promote a single model for soil resource preservation; it creates the conditions for an open, pragmatic, and constructive dialogue, grounded in agronomic, economic, and industrial realities.
Why soil?
Why now?
Round tables, cross-perspectives, and case studies will bring together scientists, decision-makers, institutions, and economic stakeholders.
Soil –
the foundation

Program
Currently being finalized, the Swiss Soil Day program will be structured around key thematic pillars related to soil, food, and the resilience of value chains.
A shared
ambition
Preserving soil means investing in the resilience of agricultural and food systems and securing sustainable value creation.
Swiss Soil Day is a space for dialogue and alignment to understand the challenges, share knowledge, and foster concrete actions across value chains.
Terres
Vivantes
The Fondation Rurale Interjurassienne (FRI), committed for years to preserving natural resources including soil, initiated an in-depth awareness and local momentum around soil issues through its “Terres Vivantes” resource protection program. This program has mobilized, sensitized, and supported regional stakeholders, revealing both the urgency to act and the potential of existing solutions.
An initiative
supported by the key players
in Swiss agriculture.
Led by the FOAG and the Fondation Rurale Interjurassienne (FRI), and supported by a growing coalition of key industry stakeholders, this event will bring together economic and political leaders around a crucial issue – soil as the foundation for the resilience of our value chains.
Practical
